Wanted .. Vocalist Required For Album Project.

  • Soulful Vocalist Required
  • I am at a crucial stage of my recording project titled "Reminders For An Advanced Soul".
  • I am searching for a singer/vocalist to work with on several tracks i have spent many months putting together.
  • The pre production of this project is virtually complete and some tracks have lyrics & melodies finished & ready to record, whilst others require writing, preferably with the vocalist as a collaboration.
  • I have already recorded backing vocals on some tracks with some established singers .. namely Linda Lewis, Paul Lewis, Claire Martin, Melanie Young, Valerie Etienne & Rita Campbell.
  • I am looking for a confident singer/writer who can deliver a strong/soulful & passionate vocal alongside these talented artists.
  • Although the above mentioned artists are happy to perform backing vocals as session work, asking them to perform the lead vocal requires huge sums of money & complications with management & record labels etc, .. not to mention their availability. I would much rather work with a talented vocalist who is looking for a project to work with and a platform for them to perform.
  • One irony to this is that Rita Campbell is happy to perform the lead vocal on two tracks or more, but wants me to send her the finished vocal for her to sing! So there is also an opportunity for a vocalist/lyricist to collaborate on tracks which then can be recorded by an already well established artist.
  • I am hoping to find somebody with a natural talent for singing & performing & a passion for music.

“Reminders” July 2010

Well, a successful start to the year musically in many respects. One hitch was having to re locate the studio back to Brighton, but now settled & working again with the Pre - Production of 10 tracks virtually complete for the “Reminders For An Advanced Soul” Project. Still desperately looking for a soulful artist/vocalist to perform in the studio.. but i will be commencing recording first with the amazing Rita Campbell, who has performed most of the backing vocals already.

A huge thankyou to Kieron James who has been programming with me online via Dropbox, without whom some of this would not have been possible. And also a huge thankyou to Sigurdor Gudmundsson in Iceland, who has also kindly been sending me his bass takes on several tracks.. all of which are being used. Thanks guys, hugely appreciated.

I am still waiting for Tristan Banks (Drums) to return from his travels to add his magic on a couple of tracks, so the completion of this project will be working around the availability of these very busy & talented musicians.

It has been a fascinating journey & i am so grateful to all of the amazing musicians who have been involved, for their time, talent, patience & generosity .. none of this would have been possible without you.

All mixes will be posted as they evolve .. so watch this space for 2010 !!

2009

It has been an interesting year, focused mainly on surviving, learning new technology, financing a long term musical project, playing verbal tennis with the haters comments & struggling generally to get my work completed.. successfully i might add.. despite the bullshit & negativity thrown at me! I have learn’t that such opposition actually fuels the motivation to get this done.. and should thank the haters for encouraging me to work so hard & actually make this happen & make them all look a bit foolish… & surprise surprise.. they all want to know me now! He he.. it’s a funny old world.. You live and learn, but more importantly, believe in what you do.. stick to your goals & the rest will follow! Remember that those who criticise behind your back, only do so because they are behind you… lead all the way !!!!

I look forward to finishing everything i have spent months putting in place, and thanking all the people who have helped make it happen.. it has been a truly character building journey… & look forward to sharing the music with you in 2010.. and moving onto new creative projects. Be faithful to those you love & help you.. and help those who you can truly guide.. as they have with me.. love & peace x
